Officeworks Issues Recall for Desk Amid Concerns of Potential Collapse on Customers

Officeworks has issued a recall for the Otto Marstrand Straight Desk due to safety concerns that it may collapse under certain conditions. This particular model, featuring an oak-coloured top and white panels, was available in stores from May 1 to August 15 this year.

The recall stems from an issue that may cause the desk to collapse if sideways force is applied to its legs, which could potentially lead to severe injuries from crushing or pinching. As a precaution, Officeworks has removed the item from its shelves.

Customers who purchased the Otto Marstrand desk are urged to halt its use immediately and return it to any Officeworks location for a full refund. It is recommended that consumers disassemble the desk before bringing it back to the store to ensure safety.

Officeworks has expressed its apologies for the inconvenience this situation may cause to its customers.
