A man has been charged following an incident in which he allegedly threw a meat pie at another spectator during a match between the Dragons and Bulldogs held at Kogarah Oval on Saturday. Video footage of the event, recorded by the accused, showed him purchasing a pie at the stadium before tossing it into a crowd.

Stadium police were made aware of the situation during the game. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, although authorities noted that the pie was believed to have impacted several individuals.

On the following Monday, police issued a Field Court Attendance Notice, charging the man with common assault and behaving offensively in public. He is scheduled to appear in Sutherland Local Court on April 15. Additionally, reports suggest that he will face a ban from attending future National Rugby League (NRL) matches.
