Toby Rudolf, a notable player for the Sharks, has provided a positive update regarding his recovery from injury. The 29-year-old prop has faced a challenging season thus far, making only four appearances after suffering a shoulder injury during the off-season and subsequently dealing with an ankle injury in round seven.
In an interview with Nine’s Today, Rudolf reported that his recovery is progressing, despite still experiencing some soreness and stiffness. He expressed appreciation for the support from his team and their commitment to working extra hours on their days off to ensure they return to the field swiftly. "We’re obviously coming in on our days off to do some extra and try and get back on the field as fast as we can," he stated, remaining hopeful for a return to action soon.
Currently, Rudolf is aiming for a comeback in round 14. This weekend, the Sharks are set to clash with their rivals, Manly, and Rudolf believes his teammates are capable of securing a win despite the challenging conditions at Brookvale Oval. He acknowledged the difficulty of the match-up, noting Manly’s strong roster filled with quality players. However, he is focused on the Sharks’ game plan and building on their recent victory over Parramatta during the Magic Round, highlighting the importance of sticking to their strategy.
