Norwegian Princess Ingrid Alexandra is set to relocate to Australia to pursue her studies at the University of Sydney. The 21-year-old will commence a three-year Bachelor of Arts programme in August, focusing on international relations and political economy, as confirmed by the palace.

Living on campus in a student residence, Alexandra is enthusiastic about dedicating her time to her academic pursuits over the next few years. As the eldest daughter of Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit, she is the second in line to the Norwegian throne, following her father.

Despite recently increasing her public engagements, Alexandra will temporarily pause her official royal duties while she studies abroad. Her decision to study in Australia follows a similar path taken by Danish Count Nikolai of Monpezat, who recently concluded a semester at the University of Technology Sydney and now divides his time between Australia and Europe.

The palace expressed that Princess Ingrid Alexandra is looking forward to this new chapter in her life.
