Australians looking to travel to Bali and other major Indonesian locations will need to comply with a new entry requirement effective today. All international visitors arriving at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali, Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta, and Juanda International Airport in Surabaya must complete an All Indonesia declaration card. This regulation is set to expand to all Indonesian airports from October 1.
The All Indonesia Arrival Card aims to streamline the immigration, customs, and health procedures into a single, consolidated form, making it simpler for travellers compared to the previous multiple forms needed. It’s important to note that this requirement does not replace existing visa obligations. Travellers can only apply for the e-Visa on Arrival (e-VOA) after submitting their declaration card online at least 48 hours before their journey to Indonesia.
When applying for the All Indonesia Arrival Card, travellers must provide personal details and travel information through an online portal. They are also required to declare any health and customs information. Once the form is submitted, a QR code will be sent to the traveller’s email, which must be presented to immigration authorities upon arrival.
Completing the All Indonesia Arrival Card is free of charge. However, there is a separate entry fee for those arriving in Bali, which can be paid online in advance by providing the passport number and arrival date. Alternatively, payment can also be made upon arrival at the airport, with adequate staff on hand to assist with any queues.
In summary, the new entry requirement aims to simplify the arrival process for travellers to Indonesia, ensuring a smoother immigration experience in the popular holiday destinations.
