Bryce Cotton, a prominent figure in the NBL, is set to join the Adelaide 36ers for the upcoming season. The 32-year-old American guard has enjoyed incredible success in the Australian league, clinching the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award five times throughout his career.

Earlier this year, Cotton announced he would depart from his long-term team, the Perth Wildcats, after nearly ten years, during which he contributed to the team’s three championship victories. Despite receiving a lucrative offer from the Wildcats, reportedly worth $1 million per season, Cotton chose to seek new opportunities. Speculation had suggested he might head overseas, with Japan seen as a likely destination, but recent reports confirm his decision to continue his career in Australia.

Cotton’s anticipated contract with Adelaide is projected to span three years, representing a significant achievement for the 36ers, marking one of the most noteworthy acquisitions in NBL history. Since his entry into the league in 2017, he has been a standout performer, leading the scoring charts for an impressive eight seasons, including a consecutive run of seven.

Before making waves in the NBL, Cotton went undrafted after college and had brief stints with several NBA teams, such as the Utah Jazz and Phoenix Suns, but did not establish a lasting presence.

The Adelaide 36ers appear to have secured a key asset in Cotton, and his arrival is expected to boost the team’s prospects for the upcoming season.
