The mother of a toddler who tragically passed away in 2005 has finally spoken out following an extensive investigation and two separate trials. Bernice discovered her son, Jordan Thompson, lifeless and face down in the bath after leaving him in the care of her boyfriend, Cecil Patrick Kennedy, during a brief trip to the shops.

In the aftermath of Jordan’s death, Kennedy faced charges of involuntary manslaughter when a toxicology report revealed the presence of an antidepressant in the child’s system. However, despite two juries deliberating on the case, they were unable to reach a unanimous verdict. Recently, the director of public prosecutions made the decision not to pursue a third trial, leaving many questions unanswered.

Now, nearly two decades later, Bernice continues to seek justice for her son, expressing her longing for closure and the truth surrounding Jordan’s untimely death.
