Lauren Tesolin-Mastrosa, a 33-year-old marketing executive for a Christian charity, faces potential additional charges related to her erotic novel, Daddy’s Little Toy, released under the pen name Tori Woods. The Sydney resident gained police attention following the novel’s distribution to approximately 20 advance readers in March.
Tesolin-Mastrosa’s lawyer, Mickaela Mate, contended that the content of the book represents “a fantasy within a fiction” and asserts that there are no identifiable victims. The case was revisited at Blacktown Local Court, where prosecutors indicated that they are considering further charges related to the novel.
A prepared 10-page summary of the book by NSW Police has been submitted to the court, and the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) is seeking to obtain the book itself to review its contents. The prosecution is evaluating the existing charges and the possibility of additional ones, while evidence from Tesolin-Mastrosa’s police interviews, statements, and digital records from her mobile devices are still in the process of being compiled.
Her next court appearance is scheduled for July 31, where her lawyer successfully requested a modification of her bail conditions. Consequently, Tesolin-Mastrosa is now required to report to police once a week instead of three times. Magistrate Bree Chisholm acknowledged that the accused poses no flight risk, noting her lack of a criminal record and her strong community connections.
Following the court proceedings, Mate remarked that her client is managing well amidst the ongoing legal situation, describing Tesolin-Mastrosa as "great". In earlier statements, Mate reiterated that the contentious material involves interactions solely between consenting adult characters, reinforcing the argument that it is a fictional narrative without real-life implications.
