In the early hours of the morning, around 1:20 AM, police halted a grey Mercedes Benz C200 on Forest Hill Drive in Morayfield, near the intersection with Wingara Drive. As officers approached the vehicle to speak with the driver, he allegedly sped off.
In a concerning turn of events, the driver then reportedly reversed the car into the police vehicle after the officers had moved back to their own car. This incident resulted in minor injuries for both officers, who were subsequently treated at the scene.
The driver, a 33-year-old man from Burpengary, was apprehended and faces charges including endangering police and possession of methamphetamine.
