A shocking incident occurred earlier today on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, where a man suffered a severe injury during an assault. Authorities received reports of the incident at around 6:45 AM at a residence located on Toormina Place in Coffs Harbour.
Upon arrival, police officers discovered a 59-year-old man with a horrific injury; his hand had been severed. Paramedics provided immediate treatment before airlifting him to John Hunter Hospital, where he is currently reported to be in a serious but stable condition.
At the time of the assault, two women, aged 58 and 80, were present in the home but fortunately escaped uninjured. Investigations revealed that two men, one of whom is known to the victim, attacked him before fleeing the scene.
As of now, no arrests have been made, and a crime scene has been established as police continue their inquiries.
