A tragic incident occurred at a popular tourist site north-west of Newcastle, New South Wales, where a man drowned. Emergency services responded to a call regarding a swimmer’s welfare at Ladies Well in Upper Allyn, near Dungog, shortly before 3:45pm yesterday.
Upon arrival, police divers and rescue teams worked to recover the man’s body from the water. Although the individual has not yet been formally identified, he is believed to be in his twenties. In light of the circumstances, authorities have established a crime scene, and an investigation into the death is currently underway.
