A shooting incident in the northern suburbs of Adelaide has left a man dead. The victim, identified as 53-year-old Troy Jacka, was discovered in a driveway on Stebonheath Road in Munno Para West around 11pm last night, after reports of a disturbance and ensuing violence in the area. Witnesses described hearing a fight outside the residence prior to the gunshot that ultimately claimed Jacka’s life.
Preliminary investigations suggest that Jacka sustained a fatal gunshot wound during a struggle involving a firearm he was possibly holding at the time. The altercation appears to have escalated from prior threats made with a gun at the property. Authorities have confirmed that the weapon was subsequently located in the vicinity of the scene.
Detectives are actively examining nearby streets for CCTV footage to determine the sequence of events that led to this tragic occurrence. A 31-year-old resident of the address is currently assisting police with their inquiries as they work to unravel the details surrounding the incident.
