Police responded to a disturbance in Gardenia Grove, Burleigh Heads, around 7.30pm yesterday. Reports indicated that a man in his 30s was allegedly making threats inside a residence. The situation escalated when the man began to threaten the attending officers. In response to the escalating threat, police discharged their firearms, and the man was swiftly given medical assistance. He was subsequently transported to Gold Coast University Hospital, where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities are still present at the location as investigations continue.
