Man Shot by Police at Fire Incident in Eastern Brisbane

At approximately 9:20 am, authorities responded to reports of a fire at a residence on Cabanda Street. Police stated that an incident occurred involving a man and their officers, which resulted in the man being shot. Following the incident, officers provided immediate medical assistance, and the individual was subsequently transported to a hospital for care. Fortunately, no police personnel or members of the public were harmed, and there is currently no threat to community safety. An investigation is now in progress, being conducted by the Ethical Standards Command with oversight from the Crime and Corruption Commission.
