Police are currently investigating the shooting of a man during a burglary in South-East Queensland that occurred late last night. The incident unfolded at approximately 9:55 PM when two suspects attempted to illegally enter a business located on Logan River Road in Beenleigh, part of the Logan area.
As the burglary was taking place, a 51-year-old man and a woman, also aged 51, confronted the offenders. During the encounter, the man was shot in the leg, prompting the suspects to flee the scene. Emergency services arrived shortly after, and the injured man was subsequently transported to hospital. Fortunately, his injuries are not life-threatening. The woman who was with him did not sustain any physical harm.
In response to the shooting, police have established a crime scene at the business, and investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend those responsible for the crime. Authorities are actively seeking assistance from the public and are urging anyone with information, or those who may have CCTV or dashcam footage related to the incident, to come forward.
