A man has been charged after allegedly driving a car into pedestrians in a Queensland car park. Emergency services responded to reports of the incident on Saint Smith Road in Beachmere shortly before 1am today.

Witnesses claimed that the driver had intentionally aimed a black Nissan X-Trail at those in the car park. One victim, a 45-year-old man, suffered non-life-threatening injuries to his lower body and was taken to Caboolture Hospital, where he is in stable condition.

Following the incident, the vehicle fled the scene but was traced by police to Beachmere Road. A 29-year-old man from Caboolture was subsequently arrested. He now faces multiple charges, including assault causing bodily harm, assault while armed, intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and driving under the influence of alcohol.

The accused is scheduled to appear in Caboolture Magistrate’s Court on Monday. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported from the incident.
