Man in his 50s tragically loses life after being trapped under machinery at a Newcastle worksite

A man in his 50s tragically lost his life after becoming trapped beneath equipment at a worksite near Newcastle Airport earlier today. Emergency services responded promptly to the site located near Nelson Bay Road in Williamtown around 9:20 am, where they discovered the man in distress. Despite the efforts of paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

As of now, the man’s identity remains undisclosed. Authorities have established a crime scene, and specialist police units are currently investigating the incident. A formal report will be compiled for the coroner’s review.
