A man is in critical condition and a woman is under police surveillance in hospital following a stabbing incident in western Sydney. Emergency services responded to a call at approximately 1:15 am at a granny flat on Stafford Street in Penrith, where they discovered a 47-year-old man suffering from multiple stab wounds. Paramedics provided immediate treatment before transporting him to hospital in serious condition.
Shortly after the incident, a 29-year-old woman was apprehended less than two kilometres away on Woodriff Street. She is currently receiving medical assessment at Nepean Hospital while under police guard. Authorities have established a crime scene and initiated an investigation, confirming that the man and woman are known to one another.
