Man in critical condition following suspected hit-and-run incident after argument

In an alarming incident in Ipswich, Queensland, one man is battling for his life while another faces attempted murder charges after an alleged intentional hit-and-run. The incident unfolded on Fernvale Road around 1pm in Brassall, where an altercation took place between two men.

According to police reports, one of the men involved retrieved his Mitsubishi Outlander and subsequently returned to the site of the confrontation. It is claimed that he deliberately drove the vehicle into the other man before fleeing the scene. The victim, a 30-year-old resident of Brassall, was left with critical head injuries and was promptly transported to the hospital.

Authorities swiftly apprehended a 26-year-old man from Brassall a short while later on Caribou Drive. He now faces serious charges, including attempted murder, and is scheduled to appear in court today. Notably, police investigations indicate that the two individuals were not previously acquainted.

The authorities continue to probe the matter, urging anyone with relevant information to report to Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000.
