Man in critical condition as major traffic delays follow head-on collision on bustling Sydney motorway

A serious four-car collision on Sydney’s M4 motorway has resulted in one person in a critical condition and significant traffic disruptions. The incident occurred around 2:40 PM near Reservoir Road, Eastern Creek, just before peak hour.

Emergency services swiftly arrived at the scene to assist those involved. Among the injured were a 30-year-old man, who was transported to Westmead Hospital in a critical state, and a woman of the same age, taken to Blacktown Hospital in stable condition. Additionally, two other male drivers, aged 40 and 53, were sent to Blacktown Hospital for mandatory testing.

Drivers in the area have been warned of extensive traffic delays, with westbound congestion extending approximately 13 kilometers from James Ruse Drive in Clyde to Eastern Creek. Motorists are advised to avoid the location as a crime scene has been established while police await specialist investigators to arrive.

The crash is under investigation as authorities continue to manage the aftermath and clear the roadways.
