A serious incident has unfolded on the NSW Central Coast, where a 38-year-old man is in critical condition following a stabbing at a unit block car park in North Gosford. The attack occurred early in the morning around 6 am, and police are currently pursuing a male and female suspect connected to the assault.
Emergency services discovered the victim with multiple stab wounds to his back and upper torso, along with a severe laceration on his wrist. According to Brisbane Water Police Chief Inspector Colin Lott, the violence was reportedly the result of an altercation involving three residents of the apartment complex. Witnesses claim to have seen the two suspects fleeing the scene after hearing the commotion and witnessing the victim bleeding heavily.
In his description of the scene, Lott noted the graphic nature of the incident. Responding officers found the man lying near the unit block’s elevator, surrounded by a considerable amount of blood, including a trail leading from where he had fled. The police believe that all individuals involved are acquainted, as they reside within the same housing commission unit complex.
Authorities are continuing their search for the suspects, identified as a 19-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man. The victim was promptly transported to Gosford Hospital, where he remains in a critical state as investigations proceed.
