A 78-year-old man, Abdul Hamid Lababidi, tragically lost his life after being struck by a vehicle in Greenacre, Sydney, while crossing the street. Known for his kindness, Lababidi visited a friend with dementia every Thursday evening. On this particular day, as he crossed Boronia Road around 6.30pm, he was allegedly hit by a young P-plater driving a Ford Ranger, which then pushed him into another car. Despite prompt medical attention, Lababidi was pronounced dead at the scene.
