A woman was discovered suffering from gunshot wounds on a footpath along Christmas Street in North Toowoomba on Wednesday. Despite being urgently transported to the hospital in critical condition, she sadly succumbed to her injuries shortly after arrival.
In relation to the incident, a man was apprehended in Roma around 11:35 am the following day, and has been charged with murder committed with reckless indifference. He is expected to appear in Toowoomba Magistrates Court tomorrow.
Local detectives are seeking assistance from the public to gather more information about the case. They are especially interested in speaking with anyone who may have dashcam footage or was present in the areas surrounding Christmas Street, West Street, or Gladstone Street at the time the shooting occurred.
