A 47-year-old woman is receiving treatment at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital following a severe incident at a unit on Morehead Street, which occurred around 4.30pm yesterday. Emergency services discovered her inside the premises, where she had suffered critical injuries to her head.
At the scene, police apprehended a 30-year-old man, who is known to the victim. He has since been charged with causing grievous bodily harm as part of a reported domestic violence case. The man has been denied bail and is scheduled to appear in court today.
