A homicide investigation has been launched following the discovery of a man’s body at a residence on Phillip Island, Victoria. Authorities received reports of the body around 10:20 am today at a property situated at the crossroads of Church Street and Justice Road in Cowes, a small township with a population of nearly 7,000.
In a related incident approximately 6 kilometres away in Ventnor, police located another man, believed to be in his 50s, who was found with injuries that are suspected to be self-inflicted. He has been transported to hospital and is currently under police supervision.
Investigators think that the two individuals are acquainted with one another, suggesting a potential link between the two incidents. The police are actively continuing their investigation into the matter.
