A tragic incident occurred on the New South Wales south coast early this morning, resulting in the death of a man in a house fire. Fire and rescue teams responded to an emergency call at 5:20 am regarding a property on Beach Road in Denhams Beach, Batemans Bay, where they discovered the house fully engulfed in flames.

Despite the firefighters’ efforts to extinguish the inferno, the home was completely destroyed in the blaze. After bringing the fire under control, crews conducted a search of the premises and sadly found the remains of a deceased male. While formal identification is yet to take place, authorities believe he was in his 50s.

Following the incident, a crime scene has been established to facilitate investigations into the cause of the fire. Detectives are actively working on the case, and a report will be compiled for the coroner’s review.
