A fatal accident involving machinery has occurred at a workplace in rural northern Victoria. Authorities responded to an incident on O’Brien Street in Mitiamo, situated around 50 kilometres from the New South Wales border, at approximately 10:30 am today. Tragically, a man in his 60s was pronounced dead at the scene.
WorkSafe is currently conducting an investigation into the incident, with assistance from Victoria Police. A spokesperson for Victoria Police confirmed that officers will support WorkSafe in the inquiry and compile a report for the coroner.
