A 64-year-old man tragically lost his life while scuba diving beneath a jetty at a well-known swimming spot. Authorities reported that the incident occurred after the man experienced a medical event while underwater. Emergency services were summoned shortly after 1:30 PM, and paramedics worked to resuscitate him for approximately 15 minutes. Unfortunately, their efforts were unsuccessful, and he could not be revived.

A nearby witness expressed concern when he noticed there had been no air bubbles rising from the man’s diving equipment for about ten minutes. He alerted another diver, who subsequently retrieved the man from the water and contacted emergency services.

At this stage, there are no indications of foul play linked to the man’s passing. As a result, a report is set to be compiled for the coroner to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident further.
