A man has been taken into custody following an incident in which another male was fatally stabbed during a confrontation on the NSW South Coast. The altercation took place yesterday around 5.45 pm at the junction of Moss Street and Brereton Street in Nowra.
Authorities reported that the two individuals, who were acquaintances, became involved in a dispute that escalated, resulting in one man receiving a stab wound to the torso. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene promptly. Despite the efforts of paramedics to provide treatment, the victim, believed to be in his twenties, succumbed to his injuries.
Shortly thereafter, a 47-year-old man was arrested at the Nowra Police Station in connection with the incident. A crime scene has been established, and forensic experts are set to carry out an examination. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death is currently ongoing.
