Emergency services responded to an incident on Broughton Road in Elizabeth Vale at approximately 7:45 pm following reports of a stabbing involving a woman and a man known to her. Upon arrival, they discovered a 28-year-old woman with stomach injuries, who was promptly transported to hospital with non-life-threatening wounds. The suspect, a 37-year-old man from Elizabeth Vale, allegedly fled the scene but was apprehended by police shortly thereafter. He has been charged with attempted murder and making threats to kill or endanger life. The man did not seek bail and is scheduled to appear in Elizabeth Magistrates Court later today.
