At approximately 11:15 am yesterday, emergency services responded to an incident on Green Road in Regents Park, involving a collision between a white LDV dual cab ute and two pedestrians. Tragically, both pedestrians, a 33-year-old man and his four-year-old son from Crestmead, were killed instantly at the scene. Reports indicate that the father and son were on their way to a nearby service station to buy ice cream when the accident occurred.

The driver of the ute, a 41-year-old man from Regents Park, was arrested on site. He faces charges of manslaughter for both fatalities and is scheduled to appear in court later today. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision is currently underway.
