A 38-year-old man was allegedly assaulted and robbed of a valuable Pokémon card worth over $8000 during a late-night transaction in a car park in New South Wales. The incident occurred on Friday, March 28, at approximately 10.45 PM, at the intersection of Lake Entrance Road and Shellharbour Road in the Illawarra region.

According to the seller, a man who claimed to be interested in purchasing the rare card attacked him before making off with the item. In response to the crime, authorities have established Strike Force Calmar to investigate the incident further.

As part of their inquiries, police have made public images of a vehicle that was seen near the scene at the time of the robbery. The car is identified as a red 2023 Ford Mustang featuring grey stripes. Law enforcement officials believe that the driver of this vehicle may possess crucial information related to the case.

Detectives are actively appealing for any information that could aid in their investigation into the assault and theft.
