A 41-year-old man has been accused of sexually assaulting an 84-year-old woman after assisting her with groceries on Tuesday at her home in Merrylands. In response to the incident, authorities launched an appeal and conducted a two-day search, which culminated in his arrest at a unit complex located on Harris Street in Fairfield around 12:15 pm today.
New South Wales Police have charged him with sexual intercourse without consent and common assault. He has been denied bail and is scheduled to appear in Parramatta Local Court tomorrow.
