A 45-year-old man from Cobram has been charged with murder following the death of a 32-year-old woman, believed to be his ex-partner, who was found deceased at a residence early yesterday morning. The incident occurred around 5am, and the man is expected to appear before the Shepparton Magistrates’ Court shortly.
At the time of the incident, two young children were present in the home but were unharmed. Detective Inspector Dean Thomas from Victoria Police assured that the wellbeing of the children is a priority, ensuring they receive the necessary support.
Authorities have indicated that the man had prior connections to the deceased, establishing a link between them, and it is reported that an altercation took place prior to her death.
