Man Arrested for Allegedly Graffitiing Swastikas and Assaulting an Officer

A 51-year-old man is set to appear in court following accusations of defacing property with Nazi symbols and attempting to attack a police officer in Penrith, located in Sydney’s west. The incident occurred yesterday afternoon around 3pm when the man allegedly scrawled swastikas on footpaths, fences, and parking spaces near a residential unit on Derby Street.

Upon police arrival, the man was apprehended within the unit block and subsequently taken to Penrith Police Station. It is reported that he attempted to assault an officer several times while at the station, leading to his restraint. The man has been charged with knowingly displaying a Nazi symbol and assaulting a police officer. He has been denied bail and will face Parramatta Local Court today.
