Police are investigating a shooting that occurred around 11pm on Pike Street involving a man in his thirties. The victim was shot while standing in the area and was subsequently transported to Gladstone Hospital with serious injuries.
Shortly after the incident, a 33-year-old man, who is acquainted with the victim, fled the scene on a motorbike. Authorities apprehended him at the intersection of Dixon and Dalrymple Drive.
As investigations proceed, Pike Street has been designated as a crime scene to facilitate the inquiry.
