A man has been accused of forcibly breaking into the Gladstone Centre Plaza in West Gladstone around 2am yesterday. CCTV footage captured a black Citroen sedan crashing into the shop and forcing its way through the security doors. Following the incident, police conducted an investigation and later searched a residence in the nearby suburb of Clinton, where they discovered items believed to be stolen, including several watches.
The 31-year-old suspect has been charged with entering with intent and entering to commit an indictable offence. He is scheduled to appear in Gladstone Magistrates Court in July. Authorities are encouraging anyone with additional information to assist with their investigation to come forward.
