Authorities responded to a disturbance at Gannons Park in Peakhurst on Saturday at approximately 4:50 PM, where reports indicated that as many as 40 individuals, including fans and players, were engaged in a brawl.

By the time police arrived, the crowd had mostly dispersed. However, on Tuesday, a 20-year-old male was taken into custody at Kogarah Police Station and subsequently charged with affray. He has since been released on conditional bail and is scheduled to appear at Sutherland Local Court later this month.

Fortunately, there have been no reported injuries or damage to property as a result of the altercation. Nonetheless, law enforcement officials have indicated that their investigation is still in progress.

Members of the public who may have information, or who possess mobile phone or dashcam footage pertinent to the case, are encouraged to reach out to St George Police or contact Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000.
