A man has been arrested following a tragic accident in Melbourne that claimed the life of a young woman on Wednesday. The incident occurred around 1am on Dunmore Drive in Truganina when the vehicle collided with a parked car.
The 24-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the car, sadly succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Meanwhile, the 23-year-old male driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was subsequently taken to hospital for treatment.
In the aftermath of the crash, the driver was charged with dangerous driving causing death and careless driving. He is currently in custody and is scheduled to appear before Melbourne’s Magistrates’ Court today.
