A 21-year-old has been charged in connection with the alleged assault of a bus driver in Brisbane. The incident reportedly occurred around 6pm on Friday, June 20, at the Southbank bus station. Disturbing footage surfaced on social media shortly after the event, showing the 46-year-old bus driver being attacked and punched multiple times.
The incident was brought to the attention of Queensland Police the following day, leading to the arrest of the young man on Sunday. He has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm and is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
