A serious single-vehicle accident in the New South Wales Blue Mountains has left a man and three children with significant injuries. The incident occurred on Jenolan Caves Road in Good Forest, approximately 15 kilometres south of Lithgow, when a car collided with a tree.
Emergency services responded promptly to the scene, providing treatment to the man, who is in his 50s, and the three boys, aged six, nine, and 11. Following initial care, the man along with two of the boys were airlifted to hospitals in Sydney, while the third boy was transported by road. All individuals involved have been reported to be in a serious but stable condition.
In the wake of the crash, a crime scene has been established, and specialist investigators have been called in to look into the circumstances surrounding the accident. As a result, Jenolan Caves Road has been closed between the Great Western Highway and Lowther Siding Road, with authorities advising motorists to steer clear of the area to ensure safety.
