In a bid to rejuvenate its tourism sector following the devastation caused by ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred, the Gold Coast is presenting a unique opportunity for visitors to effectively double their spending. Experience Gold Coast is set to distribute 50,000 ‘LoveGC’ gift cards, each valued at $100, to encourage travel and enjoyment in the area.

To claim these cards, individuals need only to spend $50 through the LoveGC website. This offer provides a straightforward way to access funds for adventures and experiences across the Gold Coast, as CEO John Warn highlights that the gift card seamlessly integrates into users’ digital wallets.

Importantly, the benefits extend beyond the gift card itself, as numerous local tourism operators are launching their own special promotions in conjunction with the LoveGC initiative. For example, visitors can enjoy a dual entry to the SkyPoint Observation Deck along with a $50 dining voucher, or take advantage of a $100 deal at Get Wet Surf School, which includes two adult surf lessons at half price.

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is also joining in on the excitement by offering a “Day to Dusk Combo,” which allows guests to explore the sanctuary during daylight hours and experience the captivating Astra Lumina light show in the evening.

The LoveGC campaign is scheduled to officially kick off on Monday, presenting the perfect opportunity for families and travellers to consider an Easter escape to the Gold Coast. The gift cards come with a generous three-year expiration period, allowing ample time for users to utilise their benefits.

With this initiative, the Gold Coast is making a concerted effort to not only attract tourists but also ensure they enjoy a memorable and cost-effective experience in this vibrant destination.
