Kmart and Target have issued a recall for the Anko two-litre stainless steel drink bottles, available in khaki and black. The recall stems from safety concerns regarding the bottle’s lid, which may shrink when exposed to hot liquids, potentially causing it to detach and act as a projectile. This defect could lead to burns or injuries if the hot liquid spills out, as highlighted by Product Safety Australia.

While incidents related to this issue have occurred, there have been no reports confirming any injuries thus far. Customers are strongly advised against using these bottles for hot beverages and are encouraged to return the items to their place of purchase for a full refund.

This precautionary measure aims to ensure user safety and prevent any potential accidents linked to the faulty drink bottles.
