Jetstar Faces Nationwide Delays Following IT System Outage

Jetstar customers faced delays at airports across Australia due to a recent IT outage. The budget airline encountered issues with its check-in and boarding systems, affecting several flights. Fortunately, the technical problem has been resolved, but not before it caused significant disruptions.

Despite the challenges, Jetstar maintained that online check-in remained available for travellers. The airline’s official account on X acknowledged the inconvenience, apologising to passengers. They stated they were dealing with “technical difficulties” and assured customers that their team was diligently working to rectify the situation. Passengers were thanked for their patience during this period.

As operations gradually returned to normal, Jetstar aims to minimise the impact of such disruptions in the future.
