An Israeli influencer, Max Veifer, has handed police a video featuring two Sydney nurses allegedly making disturbing comments about harming Israeli patients. Veifer is cooperating with the investigation led by Strike Force Pearl, which aims to address rising antisemitic incidents. The New South Wales Police confirmed they have received a file related to the case and have conducted a search of one nurse’s home, seizing several items.

The nurses, Ahmad Rashad Nadir and Sarah Abu Lebdeh, were on duty at Bankstown Hospital when they reportedly made offensive remarks during an online chat with Veifer. Following the incident, both nurses were stood down and had their registrations suspended, preventing them from working in any hospital across Australia.

Police are awaiting an unedited version of the footage, which Veifer posted online, alongside an apology from Nadir’s lawyer, expressing his client’s remorse over the incident. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities indicating no evidence of mistreatment of Jewish patients at the hospital. The decision on whether to press charges against the nurses will depend on the evidence collected.
