A gunman remains at large following a shooting incident in Yennora, Sydney, that injured a truck driver. The event unfolded around 11:20 PM when a 29-year-old man driving a truck was approached by another vehicle that abruptly stopped in front of him. A male occupant exited the vehicle and fired multiple shots at the truck before fleeing the scene in the same car.

The truck driver sustained gunshot wounds to his wrist and abdomen. He received immediate treatment on-site before being transported to a hospital, where he is reported to be in stable condition.

Shortly after the shooting, emergency services were alerted to two vehicles ablaze in nearby areas; a black Lexus on Dixmude Street in South Granville and another on Boundary Road in Chester Hill. Both fires were extinguished without further incident.

Authorities are currently investigating potential links between the shooting and the subsequent car fires. Police are appealing to the public for assistance and encourage anyone with information or dashcam footage of the events to contact Fairfield police or Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000.
