Brad Banducci, the former chief executive of Woolworths, has secured a new position as the chief executive of TEG, the parent company of Ticketek. This transition follows the promotion of TEG’s long-serving CEO, Geoff Jones, to chairman after 14 years in leadership. Jones expressed confidence in Banducci’s capabilities, stating that his extensive experience positions him excellently to steer TEG in its upcoming phase.
In his new role, Banducci is enthusiastic about enhancing live experiences for customers and stakeholders alike. He conveyed his honour in joining TEG during a pivotal time for the company, noting his personal passion for live events and the increasing significance of such experiences in today’s landscape.
Banducci’s resignation from Woolworths was announced on February 21, 2024, coinciding with the company’s report of a $781 million half-year loss. He officially retired in September following eight years at the helm of Woolworths. His departure came shortly after a controversial incident during an ABC Four Corners interview, alongside increasing scrutiny from the federal government regarding supermarket pricing practices.
Having spent 13 years at Woolworths, Banducci climbed the ranks from managing director of liquor in 2011 to the position of chief executive in 2016. He is set to commence his new leadership role at TEG on March 31.
