Fifty Hospitalised Following Liverpool Car Ramming Incident, Driver Under Suspicion of Attempted Murder

Assistant Chief Constable Jenny Sims from Merseyside Police confirmed that all patients involved in an incident were reported to be stable as of Tuesday afternoon (early Wednesday AEST).

A 53-year-old male driver has been taken into custody on charges of attempted murder. Detective Chief Superintendent Karen Jaundrill indicated that the man is also being investigated for dangerous driving and driving under the influence of drugs.

The police reported that he had followed an ambulance to bypass roadblocks established for the championship parade in Liverpool.
