A luxury Fendi store located in Sydney’s CBD was the target of a dramatic robbery early this morning. At approximately 3:45 am, an SUV crashed through the front window, allowing a group of thieves to make off with a substantial number of designer handbags, leaving the store completely emptied of its merchandise.

The robbers are believed to have escaped in a stolen white BMW wagon, with police also suggesting the involvement of a second getaway vehicle, a grey Audi S3. The SUV used in the smash-and-grab was later discovered abandoned at the scene; it had reportedly been stolen during a residential break-in in Kingsford the same night.

Authorities have established a crime scene to investigate the incident further, focusing on determining the number of individuals involved and the total value of the stolen bags. They are calling on members of the public who may have seen the getaway cars to come forward with any information that could assist in the investigation.
