A father of two, Chris Robertson, aged 49, was found dead in an Adelaide workshop, leading authorities to suspect foul play following his recent celebrations of the AFL grand final with friends. His body was discovered at a site on O’Sullivan Beach Road in Lonsdale, an industrial area in southern Adelaide.

Originally from Moana, Robertson leaves behind two children and five siblings. In the wake of his death, police have classified the case as a major crime, initiating a murder investigation. Preliminary examinations indicate that Robertson suffered fatal injuries, suggesting he was the victim of a targeted attack.

Detective Superintendent Darren Fielke stated that Robertson was out celebrating the football final over the weekend with friends and that their celebrations took place across several venues. In their investigative efforts, detectives are currently analyzing CCTV footage from the vicinity to trace his movements and identify any potential suspects or vehicles.

Authorities are urging anyone who was with Robertson during the weekend or has any relevant information to come forward. They emphasised the importance of gathering insights about his recent activities, highlighting that even minor details could prove significant in understanding the circumstances surrounding his death. Police also requested dashcam footage from individuals who may have driven through the area between September 27 and September 30.

Detectives remain committed to piecing together the timeline leading up to Robertson’s tragic death, seeking public assistance to uncover any further details that could aid in the investigation.
